Dolmen is one of Karachi’s favourite places to shop, eat and hang out and DSF made it all the more attractive. Check out our ten top reasons to love the Dolmen Shopping Festival.

1. Fabulous, fabulous sales and discounts

Need we say more? From Mango, Mantra, Charles & Keith and Adidas to Ideas by Gul Ahmed, Khaadi, Sapphire and Kayseria, all our favourite brands had whopping discounts. Even better, there were daily discounts and flash sales for even better bargains!

2. That festive feeling

Dolmen dolls itself up like a bride for every DSF. The whole place is brilliantly festive and the carnival area added to that with mascot appearances by Sponge Bob, Dora, Sinbad and Oggy  along with games, prizes and fun kids activities.

3. The Beauty Lounge

What’s not to love about beauty exhibits, master classes, tips, discounts and free consultations from top brands like L’Oréal, Maybelline, Garnier, and Scentsation. Way to feed our makeup addiction ??

4. Food, food, glorious food

Dolmen’s food court is full of choice but the mall upped the ante for DSF by adding a Food Street featuring yummy brands which are not generally available in the mall such as Lush Crush, Chai Walla, 8teas, Karamel cookies and more. As if that wasn’t enough, the food court had happy hours where you could fill up at crazy discounts ????? – mmmm!

5. Food for soul – artists at Dolmen

Well-known artists such Feica, Farrukh Shahab, Aftab Zafar and Arif Ansari expressed their love for the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam with live paintings on his birth anniversary. The Art Lounge had a live mural for customers and visitors could also get a caricature of themselves made on the spot by Feica.

6. Celebrating the Qaid’s birthday in style

25th December is a special day for us all and DSF celebrated the Qiad’s birthday by cutting a spectacular cake, distributing a grand prize, spreading smiles by giving away free vouchers and hosting artist’s tributes to the great man.

7.  The incredible “Home 1947” exhibition

Pakistan’s Oscar-winning film and documentary maker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy (SOC) also came to pay tribute and held an immersive exhibition in collaboration with British Council. The exhibition, Home 1947, showcased the struggle and movement of people who migrated to Pakistan during partition to live a better life in a free country. Bringing in families, young an old, the exhibition left customers emotional and asking for more such events to take place in future.

8. The Dolmen Cultural Bazaar

DSF gave traditional craftsmen and craftswomen the opportunity to reach the massive customer base that hits Dolmen Mall every day via its cultural bazaar. Items for sale included embroidered shawls, pashmina, jewelry, crafted dresses and much more

9. Fashion Royalty at the Mall

King of couture, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) made an appearance at the closing ceremony for an exclusive reveal of a masterful design from his new bridal collection to pay tribute to the fashion hub of the country. HSY  unveiled a legacy dress that combined different cultural elements and craftsmanship.

10. Prizes galore

DSF featured multiple opportunities for shoppers to win big! From daily draws to grand prizes, there were many winners. The 25 grand winners of the festival won a host of gifts including Rs.2.5 million worth of shopping sprees, international and domestic roundtrip tickets, gold and diamond jewellery, high value watches, furniture, and laptops, among others.
The winner of the grand prize of a Rs.1.5 million worth of shopping spree from Dolmen Mall Clifton, Ms. Naureen, said,
