Events in Karachi: 1st-7th April 2016

It’s going to be a bit of a slow week but there’s still a few promising events in Karachi. Music lovers have two concerts to look forward to during the coming weekend. Mad Hat is hosting Folk Republic 2016, a musical festival featuring Sounds of Kolachi and Asrar. The festival will also feature lots of great stalls selling yummy treats and all manner of nifty crafts. Salt Arts is back with another Salt Nights, featuring Gerard Vanderlown. Salt Nights: 1969 will feature groovy beats from the 60s and 70s and will pay tribute to the legends of classic rock.

Firefly and the Crafter’s Guild is back with another crafter’s fair. Bohemian Crunch will feature a plethora of brands selling their crafts. Everything from ethnic textiles to bus-art inspired trays will be available at the fair. Crafts fair are a recent trend in Karachi and have proven to be a great platform for artists, as well as consumers who get the chance to shop for creative products from home-based brands.

Salt Nights: 1969

Join us for a special edition of Salt Nights: 1969. Karachi’s retro master Gerard Vanderlowen and the Salt Stars, as they celebrate 1969 and the legends of classic rock. Salt Nights are a series of private events hosted by Salt Arts and The Alliance Française de Karachi. The Salt Arts Ensemble is Shallum Xavier, Jason Anthony, Arnold Andrews, Simien Xavier and Rozario Fernandes.

Book your pass/table by paying at the front desk of the Alliance Française Karachi Monday through Saturday, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please bring photo identification on the day of the event for verification upon entry.

Bohemian Crunch

Bohemian Crunch, crafter's guild, crafts fairs in Karachi, events in Karachi

The Crafter’s Guild, in collaboration with Firefly, is hosting another epic crafts fair. The Bohemian Crunch will feature crafts stalls selling a plethora of great, nifty items including home decor, kitchen ware and clothing. A variety of food stalls will also be selling delicious, home-made goodies.

Bohemian Crunch emphasises creative displays and innovative products. It is executed like our other craft shows except we will be grading and assessing every member’s progress.. presentation.. product.. display.. involvement and overall success. At the end of the show every participant will be awarded points.
