Ahmad Bilal showcased ‘Noor-e-Nazar’ bridal collection at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week. The collection draws its inspiration from the love of art and the concept of empowerment and liberation. The collection features fabrics such as jamawar, chiffon, organza, tissue and silk with fusion of resham work, tilla embedded with pearls & stones. The colour palette for the collection is rooted in warm colours such as rust and rouge accentuated with black and muted shades of golds. In line with the inspiration, the collection makes use of traditional embellishment techniques of kora and dabqa.
What stands out about this collection is the emphasis on a consolidated colour palette. Ahmad Bilal has shown versatility in silhouettes while strictly adhering to the chosen colours. While diverging from the traditional ‘red jora’ Bilal’s use of rust can be seen as a divergence from tradition while still maintaining a close relationship with it through the craftsmanship on the ensembles. Film actress, Resham, participated in the designer’s showcase as a celebrity showstopper.
