Reminiscing about the Mughal era and bringing the grandeur of the period alive in her latest bridal collection ‘Ishq-e-Raag’, Ayesha Ibrahim juxtaposed the traditions of the Mughals with sensuous, modern day allure. Dainty details, soft feminine colours along with the fusion of traditional craft and modern sensibility, hallmarked the collection. The carefully picked colour palette of icey silvers contrasted with pops of hot pink, cool greys and dusky pinks, rendered pure festivity and realness of culture, all inspired from traditional charm by flaunting modern silhouettes neutralised by sublime cuts. Making use of fabrics ranging from pure silks, jamawar and tissue, Ishq-e-Raag was carefully worked with enchanting stonework, dabka, and nakshikaam. A resplendent collection, clad in delicate embellishments and decadent style embedded through the gossamer work of stones and sequins; Ayesha’s latest bridal collection visualised opulence and grandeur.
