Star Buy: Black Kamdani Kurta by Ayesha Somaya

I spotted this week’s Star Buy on a trip to Ayesha Somaya’s flagship studio. This black kurta with kamdani caught my eye straight away. Pretty and elegant, it’s perfect for spring GTs and dinners. The material is cotton-net (possibly silk-net), which has a lovely fall and a beautifully formal look.

A closer looks at the kamdani (also known as mukesh) shows good finishing and a restrained touch that gives the kurta it’s elegant feel.
