Tales of an Old World

The collection includes miniature paintings and illuminated initials masterfully translated into stitches in geometric, curvilinear, animal, religious and other motifs. Designs range from small to large with meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that has become synonymous with the House of Cali.

A Smarte

A Smarter Healthier You at T2F

AKUH & T2F will be coordinating a discussion focusing on concepts such as productivity, memory and sharpness in light of the nature of the brain. Speakers will also shed light on how to improve one’s productivity, level of happiness and general mental health.

A Smarter Healthier You is the first of three public awareness sessions being run under AKUH’s 2016: Year of Mind and Brain campaign.

About the speakers:

Dr Saad Shafqat is a Professor of Neurology at AKUH and a well-known cricket writer and novelist.

Dr Ayesha Mian is a Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at AKUH and is actively involved in efforts to promote awareness about mental health through seminars, newspaper columns and

Dr Ayeesha Kamal is a leading researcher in the field of neurology and has received grant funding to develop a device to assist in the early detection of stroke.

Dr Gohar Javed is a neurosurgeon who specializes in the treatment of complex diseases of the brain.

Professional baking workshop with Chef Muhammad Imran


Baker’s Studio and Ayesha’s Cakes are organizing Professional Baking Workshops in Karachi where students will get an opportunity to learn professional techniques from Chef Muhammad Imran.

Chef Imran, who has more than 15 years of experience in baking will be sharing his expertise with the participants. The Return of TDC at T2F


A joint training session on debating is being organized by the Debaters’ Resource Group and The Debating Circuit. The session will particularly focus on skills such as case-making and argumentation through individual exercises.

Speakers include Hassaan Bin Shaheen , Yelmaz Mujtaba and Sarosh Hasan, who will be talking about the process of expressing ideas persuasively and with right prioritization. Both Urdu and English debaters will be facilitated and an exhibition debate will also be a part of the session.
