Generation has become one of Pakistan’s most sought-after high-street pret brands. They opened the show at FPW with full-of-life pret pieces from their #NoNonsenseNighat collection, emphasising the cultural uniqueness of Pakistani’s desi heritage. From patiala shalwars to parandas, flowers on one side and braids on the other, the models strutted the ramp in sneakers, exuding an ethnic, traditional Punjabi vibe fused with a western twist – carefully curated for the ultra-modern, 21st century woman who embraces the traditional desi style but also loves her comfort. Statement looks and bold colours like deep blues, vivid corals, dark greens on mostly white backgrounds, made for an ultra-feminine yet starkly modern aesthetic. Scattered around were also pastel hues like lilacs and lemon yellows, giving #NoNonsenseNighat breezy, summery twists.
Each of the 15, ramp to retail Generation outfits was a personification of unadulterated Pakistani style, embodying Nighat’s unabashed, distinct style while staying quintessentially desi.
