GREAT Festival Pakistan – a celebration of Great Britain & Pakistan

The British Deputy High Commission launched their GREAT Festival, part of their Britain is GREAT campaign, at Dolmen Mall, Clifton this weekend. The opening ceremony featured a fashion show which showcasing a mix of British and Pakistani brands including Debenhams, Clarks, Gul Ahmed, Gulabo and Deepak Perwani. Maheen Khan curated the show focusing on fusion fashion, blending high street pieces from British and Pakistani brands.


The festival will continue till 11th October, and features a mix of culture, fashion and food. It is a celebration of the best of British in Pakistan and of the close ties between Pakistan and Britain. Fashion retailers from the U.K. will be showcasing their products at Dolmen Mall, while British Chef Dominic South will spearhead the food festival. The GREAT food festival runs at Avari Towers from 5th-10th October. The Asia Live Restaurant at Avari will be serving traditional British cuisine so this a great opportunity to indulge your cravings for pasties, meat pies and some fish n’ chips!

Meanwhile Dolmen Mall will be hosting hair and beauty care demonstrations, storytelling sessions for children, franchise events  as well as special offers and discounts throughout the festival. There will also be a daily raffle draw, giving you the chance to win exclusive merchandise, including a grand prize of a ticket to London courtesy Qatar Airways.

The festival will also include seminars on various aspects of business and trade, a jazz band from the UK and a concert showcasing young talent as well as stalls by multi-national companies like Paramount and Shell.
