Huma Adnan took inspiration from the pattern, the prints, the embroidery, the vibrant colours that she’s seen everday, distributed throughout Pakistan. The mystique resham, crystal aari, zardozi work with traditional thread embroidery on plush orange lehnga cholis, ghaghra pants, saaris and other bridal ensembles were an ode to the intoxicating beauty and serene spirituality of Sufi-ism the snow-capped mountains of Pakistan. Her collection was adorned by jewellery pieces crafted by the female refugees from the Middle East who live in Karachi. Her pieces transitioned from bold oranges, hot pinks and lush reds into a soft hued colour palette towards the end of the show. Deputy Counsel of USA, Darian Arky stunned the crowd in a dapper black velvet sherwani along with showstopper Noor Khan who adorned an elaborate traditional red and gold bridal ensemble.
