Hussain Rehar showcased his collection titled ‘Sunken Reverie’ at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Luxury Prét Grouped Show segment on Day-1. This collection is inspired by the aquatic influence with intricately detailed ensembles, complexity of forms and its multiple interpretations of fabric.
The collected comprised of accented striped blazers, jackets highlighted with zippers, sheer net skirts and stockings. With floor length dresses and stripes hanging off with delicate embroideries encapsulates wild sea creatures. The color palette, also inspired by aquatic life, ranges from blues to oranges, tangerines and pinks to represent the rich diaspora of colours found in the coral reefs. The collection also features jackets with cut out metal work and chunky three-dimensional embellishments. The ring like patterns created by the designer emulate sea sponges and the free flowing shards of fabric emulate tentacles. What stands out the most about this collection is the detail and artful use of colour.
