Hussain Rehar showcased his debut “RGYAAL-MO” collection at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week. The collection draws its inspiration from the reverie where the two tribes combine to create another tribal fantasy. Rehar in this collection envisages the conventional bridal look but also adds a twist by using floral prints in a re-imagined manner.

Rehar embodies a high fashion approach to the show, one thing that stood out for me was the fact that the models were all barefoot, perhaps this neatly ties into the tribal theme and naturalistic inspiration that has drawn Rehar to showcase “RGYAAL-MOO”. The lack of lowers was another case entirely. Interesting for shock value but ultimately distracting in a show that is after all in Pakistan and geared toward the Pakistan market. This collection features many different silhouettes, from sari’s to flowing skirts to short tunics- this definitely shows that everything goes in the upcoming shaadi season. With interesting beadwork used in a fringe style, and his incorporation of floral prints, he has delivered something unique to this year PLBW. Although the floral prints don’t seem very ‘shaadi’ type and the outfits aren’t as heavily ornamented as others, we like that prints are back in the bridal week vernacular.
