This weekend saw the annual Kidney Centre Brunch, the coolest fund-raiser in town, always packed with glitteratti of Karachi. From actors Sheheryar Munawar, Ali Rehman Khan and Sarwat Gillani to models Fouzia Aman and Cybil Chowdry. High heels, sunnies and a major dose of glamour were the order of the day. The notoriously private Karachi elite don’t share their pics publicly but there were plenty of celeb pics to give you a feel for the event. The annual Kidney Centre Brunch raises funds for The Kidney Centre, a non-profit specialized hospital providing quality care to patients suffering from kidney disease. Since its opening in 1985 with just two dialysis machines, it has developed into a 100-bed facility with four operating theatres and an ICU and performs kidney transplants as well as offering a huge range of urological and nephrological services.
