This season, I am totally crushing over anything velvet. Velvet is one of those fabrics that makes you weak at your knees – it’s luxurious, glamorous and just down right regal. The rich texture of the material combined with the deep hues of the fabric look absolutely gorgeous in any night-time event, whether its a wedding, society ball, or just a GT. Velvet is a versatile fabric that looks great with western cuts and the rich colours work beautifully with eastern embroideries and handwork. Luckily, now that winter season is full-on, several designers have come out with absolutely gorgeous velvet collections – all done in a variety of ways. Team Karachista puts together an overview of some of the most-wanted collections.
