Lajwanti’s new collection ‘Riwaaj’ celebrated timeless traditional cuts and designs inspired by pre-partition era and the indigenous crafts of the subcontinent. The pieces were reminiscent of bygone eras with majestic traditional cuts. The color palette including muted tones of gold, ice blue, beige and mint green is an ode to the mughal era. The use of mirror work, seen in many of mughal monuments has also been incorporated in the ensembles. From shimmery and glitzy kaamdani lehngas with sequenced gold embroidery. The collection feature front open shirts, deep backs and tassles.
