This year’s Lux Style Awards red carpet had it’s fair share of hits and misses. Several top actresses opted for international designers, with varying degrees of success. Maya Ali in Nomi Ansari, Sara Hirji in Maheen Karim and Mehreen Syed in Mahgul showed that local designers have plenty of red carpet nous too. There were some glaring misses too but there’s always another red carpet around the corner.

From Syra Shahroz in white to Mahira Khan in black and Maya Ali in scintillating red, our favourite actresses brought their A-game to the red carpet at the LSAs. Others made less successful choices including Aaminah Sheikh in a frothy white gown and Zhalay Sarhadi in a blue number.

The models made more misses than hits on the red carpet at the Lux Style Awards 2017. Personal favourites on the LSA red carpet include Sadaf Kanwal wearing Lebanese label Azzi & Osta, Sara Hirji in Maheen Karim, Atia Khan in Deepak Perwani, Mehreen Syed in Mahgul and Hira Tareen in Shehla Chatoor. Anum Malik won best dressed in Fahad Hussayn. Rabia Butt, Sunita Marshall and Amna Baber made poor red carpet choices.

Designers, stylists, journalists and bloggers – everyone makes an effort for the LSAs. I loved my Misha Lakhani kaftan but there were a lot of fabulous outfits on display. My personal faves include Shamaeel Ansari, Nabila and Anusheh Shahid.

Actor, Models, Movers and Shakers on the red carpet at the Lux Style Awards 2017. Mera Sultan’s Halit, Ali Zafar, Bilal Ashraf and the like provided plenty of eye-candy. Most opted for sharp suits but some like Hasnain Lehri, Shehryar Munawar, Mohib Mirza and Amir Adnan added sartorial interest.
