There’s not going to be many new movies in Karachi in the coming month. However, this week you guys have two new movies to look forward to. The well-loved heartthrob Tom Hiddleston is starring in Crimson Peak, a spooky film about a haunted mansion.

If you’re in the mood for a light-hearted rom-com, Shaandar is also being released in cinemas this week. Pakistani films continue to set new standards with Jawani Phir Nahin Ani still in cinemas. The film has won much praise from both audiences and critics so you should definitely check it out!

“Manto” is the story of Saadat Hasan Manto, the legendary and controversial short-story writer of the Subcontinent, who grew up in the showbiz industry of Bombay and Lahore. It focuses the last seven years of writers life during which he wrote some of his most controversial stories, such as Thanda Gosht, for which he faced much criticism and charges of obscenity. The movie has been directed by Sarmad Khoosat, who also stars in the leading role.
