There’s two new movies in Karachi to look forward to this week. Sanam Saeed and Mohib Mirza’s much awaited Bachaana is set to hit cinemas. The film follows the adventures of Aalia and Vicky, an Indian girl trapped away from home and a Pakistani driver who takes on the responsibility of returning her to her family. Action-packed Gods of Egypt is also premiering this week. Starring heartthrobs Gerard Butler and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the film is set in ancient Egypt and tells the story of a mere mortal’s efforts to defy Set, the god of darkness.
Deadpool is still playing in cinemas. The film has received rave reviews and Ryan Reynold’s performance is being heralded as spot-on. Even if you’re not a die-hard fan of the comic book series, the movie is definitely a fun one to watch!

Bachaana is a romantic comedy thriller. The film revolves around the story journey of a sweet and bubbly Indian girl, Aalia, who undergoes a series of unfortunate events and is forced to place her faith in a man she hardly knows. That man, Vicky, is a Pakistani taxi driver in Mauritius. Bachaana follows the couple’s adventurous journey of love and features leading entertainment personalities Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza and Adeel Hashmi.
Gods of Egypt
The survival of mankind hangs in the balance when Set (Gerard Butler), the merciless god of darkness, usurps Egypt’s throne and plunges the prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. Hoping to save the world and rescue his true love, a defiant mortal named Bek (Brenton Thwaites) forms an unlikely alliance with the powerful god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Their battle against Set and his henchmen takes them into the afterlife and across the heavens for an epic confrontation.

Loveshhuda is an upcoming Bollywood romance film directed by Vaibhav Misra. The film features Girish Kumar, Navneet Kaur Dhillon and Naveen Kasturia in leading roles. The film is about a man who wakes up after a night of drinking next to a girl whom he does not know. When he gradually starts to fall in love with her, he must choose between love and practicality.
How To Be Single
After four years of college, young Alice (Dakota Johnson) decides she needs a break from her long-term boyfriend Josh. Excited and ready for new challenges, the eager grad moves to New York to take a job as a paralegal. The Finest Hours

Ho Mann Jahaan
Ho Mann Jahaan is a coming of age story set in present day Karachi. It revolves around three main characters. Arhan, Manizeh and Nadir and their friendship born out of shared experiences at the same college and a passionate love for music. The three of them are in fact very talented musicians and aspire to fame.
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip
Music manager Dave (Jason Lee) is not only enjoying a burgeoning career, but a blossoming romance with Samantha (Kimberly Williams-Paisley), a beautiful doctor who works in the emergency room. Through a series of misunderstandings, the chipmunks start to believe that a marriage proposal is on the horizon.
