‘Baat Cheet’ (Téte-â-téte) has been invited to participate at the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival 2015 that is scheduled in France this May. The Short Film Corner is not an award category but it’s a great chance for a film to get international exposure on a prestigious platform.
Baat Cheet has already won three gold awards at the Documentary & Short International Movie Awards 2015 in Indonesia in directing, newcomer and international short film categories.
The film stars Sarwat Gilani and Joshinder Chaggar and is written, produced and directed by Rayika Choudri. Choudri and the film’s assistant director, Misha Rezvi will be representing the film at Cannes. Rezvi is an Emmy-winning documentary film maker and this film looks to be another feather in her cap.
The 68th annual Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to be held from May 13 to May 24 May in France. Watch this space for more updates.
Glad to see that Pakistan film industry os growing and even take apart in international :).
