Sapphire’s 3 piece silk collection ticks all the boxes |
|
I’ve been wanting to go and check out Sapphire’s new 3-piece silk collection ever since I saw the gorgeous shoot by Maram & Aabroo in Sunday.
 |
This design is one of the most popular from the collection |
Sapphire’s digitally printed silk tunics were a massive hit from the moment they launched but this new collection is notable for offering a complete Eastern ensemble, including trousers and a dupatta. The collection is an exclusive limited edition of just six designs.
 |
The prints are gorgeously detailed and the outfits have a subtle bling from pearls and crystal |
By the time I went yesterday, the collection had already been on sale for a week and two of the designs had sold out. Sapphire has proved so popular that you have to be quick on your feet to catch new offerings. However, it’s great to see that they’ve streamlined their stocking process. They now have plenty of cotton kurtas as well as great embroidered trousers in cotton and silk. As far as the silk collection is concerned, they have plenty of sizes in the remaining four designs. The material is a beautiful pure silk and isn’t slippery or clingy.

Perfect for a winter GT |

The dupattas and trousers are pure silk & intricately detailed |

Jewel-like tones from Sapphire |
I loved the intricate prints and the subtle bling of Swarovski and pearls on the shirts. Two of the prints are in brilliant jewel like tones that work well for winter GTs and the other two are in lovely soft, muted colours that work equally well in the day and in the evening.
 |
The collection comes in a variety of silhouettes and lengths |
What I liked about the collection was that it came in a variety of silhouettes, which is great in a stitched collection. One of the prints was stitched into a short shirt that hovered at knee length while another was a calf-length tunic without a side slit. I would have preferred more of the designs to be shorter lengths, like Sapphire’s tunic collection. However perhaps, since these are more traditional ensembles, others may prefer the longer lengths.
 |
The silk collection conveniently puts together an entire Eastern ensemble |
The outfits are priced at Rs18,000 which is not bad considering that they are embellished and include silk pants and a silk dupatta. Elegant, formal and convenient, Sapphire’s silk collection ticks all the right boxes.

Hey, you can go to Sapphire’s website and order from there but good luck because their customer service is horrible. They barely reply.
