Stories Untold: On being a parent and a child
Two distinguished psychotherapists Omar Tauseef and Maryam Suheyl have co-created this original one day workshop on parenting. This program has been driven by the question of what they’ve learnt from listening to thousands of hours of raw and honest experiences of individuals. This workshop is designed for both parents who wish to understand the complexities of raising children; as well as for individuals who might have survived difficult families. Omar and Maryam have sifted through thousands of hours of their psychotherapy notes, and combed through hundreds of powerful narratives to derive themes of parenting pitfalls such as over-sharing, neglect, enmeshment etc. and woven these into a one day experiential program. This will feature reflective exercises and delving into deep questions regarding our own suffering as well as the transmission of this to our children.
The program is capped at 40 participants so please register with Hamza at 03360453566 to book a spot.
Date: 16th February 2019
Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 AM

Book Club: Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
Register here: https://bit.ly/2SC6990
Our pick of the month is Kevin Kwan’s outrageously funny debut novel, Crazy Rich Asians! This modern-day romance novel is satirical and witty and gives you a peek into a world of unimaginable wealth.
Rachel Chu is a strong and independent woman, happy to accompany her long-time boyfriend, Nick, to a wedding in Singapore. What Rachel doesn’t know is that Nick is the scion of one of Singapore’s richest families and the most eligible bachelor in a network of upper-class families! As Nick’s relatives and ex-girlfriends plot to separate the couple, it seems as though the disparity of their lifestyles will be too much for their relationship. Will true love survive in the face of class and tradition?
If you’ve read the book or seen the blockbuster film, join us to discuss this brilliant novel.
Members can borrow this book from the library, however, our copies are limited and available on a first come first serve basis.
This event is FREE and appropriate for ages 18 and above.
Prior registration is mandatory; walk-ins will not be allowed.

Inspire the Child, Transform the World
The way we raise our children sets the precedence for the rest of their lives. It helps mold and shape them and unleash their potential for later on in life. Like every child, every parent is different and has a different parenting style. And while there aren’t any rules for raising children, there are some qualities shared by all good parents that you should keep in mind.
Inspire your Child, Transform the World is a 2-hour seminar facilitated by Sohail Zindani that will literally transform your perspective on ‘How-To’ of parenting. You’ll not only learn practical strategies of Transformative Parenting but will also get to learn how to have a better relationship with your kids in the digital era.
