Whats on this week: Events & Exhibitions 23rd February – 1st March

Spring is definitely in full swing in Karachi.  This weekend kicks off with the Magnum-Opus Dolce Vita Bridal & Fashion Expo, bringing together the biggest and most exclusive designers all over Pakistan under one roof. This event will be a grand affair, and there will be a lot of luxurious fashion, jewellery and home interiors for you  to devour.  Moving forward, we have Umaima Mustafa and ‘Aviv’ by Anus Abrar taking the lead in 2017 with their Spring Collections.  For some great family fun, there are quite a few festivals on this week as well, starting off with the annual Flower Show which promises a delightful horticultural display as well as the Basant and Spring festival hosted by the DHA Golf club. Bring some adventure into your life, and explore the seas with the Karachi Water Sports club and their day trip to Churna island. A great opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, this snorkelling expedition will introduce you to a different part of the world, the sea life and a beautiful coral reef.

Aviv  Spring  Chic

‘Aviv’ by Anus Abrar is a narrative of high fashion and a celebration of beauty this spring. She believes in art being accessible to everyone on a daily basis, and what better way to do that than to incorporate it into attire.  Aviv wants each individual to uniquely express themselves through art and  promises painterly details.

Horticulture Society of Pakistan’s Annual Flower Show 2017

The yearly Flower Show, is another annual event that Karachites take pride in. Enthusiasts from all over the city gather for this weekend to enjoy and share in this horticultural delight. Th Pakistan Bonsai Society’s is known to be a ‘highly recommended’ award-winning stall, that has much to offer. Spend time to learn about the science behind bonsai, attend some free workshops, stock up on bonsai accessories or even bring your own plants to make them bonsai.

Snorkerling Expedition at Churna Island

Churna island is a small uninhabited Pakistani island located in the Arabian Sea, about 9 km (5.6 mi) west of the mouth of the Hub river, at the boundary between the provinces of Balochistan and Sindh. Explore the island the sea life around it through an awesome snorkelling adventure.The area surrounding Charna is popular for scuba diving because of the presence of widely varied marine life and different kinds of coral reef.
