Although getting out in the day during this heat can be a drag, Karachi nights are always pleasant. This weekend there are two literary events, first is an Open Mic night presenting original poetry and prose and then there is Sanam Maher in conversation with Sabyn Javeri’s about the current literary landscape, politics and fiction. For Music aficionado’s there is a variety of events to choose from, a musical performance at the Taansen Academy of Music, Urban Rock at Base Rock Cafe, and Mehfil-e-Ghazal at Napa. And then of course, for a fun-filled Sunday with the kids, there is no place better then The Retreat, for a vacation carnival.
