This weekend starts off with two designers showcasing their Autumn/Winter 2016 collection : Saleha and Nimra & Mehreen. Following up Karachites get to see designer Hina Mirza’s first outlet in Karachi, opening up in the coming week. 4. International Watercolor Show

5. Maskari Party!
Come along with friends to a stand up comedy show by Syed Osama Sami, a Karachi-based comedian, who is set to make his solo debut with this show. Osama is an experienced comedian, part of the famous troupe ‘LOL’ walay, and has done an array of performances in the past. This show will feature the comedian performing his one-hour set, with opening acts by Syed Muhammad Kumail, Jaffer Shah and Ehsan Yar. The show will be hosted by Ali Gul Pir. Celebrate a ‘TGIF’ with Sami, who is promising a good night with lots of fun and laughter !

6. Appreciating Craftsmanship – East West Connection (EWC)

7. An Evening of two plays
Enjoy an evening of leisure at the British Council Library, which will be hosting two theatrical performances, directed by Khalid Ahmad. Bringing you the best of emerging and established talent this weekend, an Elegy for a Lady by Arthur Miller and ‘Mernay sey Pehlay Jannat’ by Bee Gul (Urdu: بی گل) will be performed. Elegy for a Lady is a one-act play by Arthur Miller. Miller’s “Elegy” is a philanderer’s conversation with his conscience — and his heart — even if it takes the form of a man confessing all to a shopkeeper. A haunting and evocative study of loss, and the pain of love and rejection, by one of our theatre’s master writers. In ‘Mernay se Pehlay Jannat’, Gul centers her story on an ailing old man whose hostility towards his family changes with the arrival of a young maid by the name of Jannat Bibi.
