Whats on this week in Karachi: Events & Exhibitions 13th – 18th of March 2017

This weekend, two fab Lahore-based designers showcase their Spring/Summer 2017 collections at Ensemble. Rema & Shehrbano and Farida Hassan, bring to Karachites a fresh of breath air with their exclusive and sophisticated pret and formal wear.  A great alternative to lawn 3 pieces, their pret wear is  original and chic. There are also two carnivals on this week, one is the much awaited KDSP carnival on this Sunday, and the VLC Snap Fest on Saturday. Both will be hosting some great activities and  not only will it be a great day out for the family but both are supporting wonderful causes.  Along the same lines, Ujala will be hosting an evening dedicated to talented children with down syndrome. For art enthusiasts there is an. exhibition hosting prominent women artists of Karachi, a Sounds of Kolachi concert and the travelling Film SouthAsia Festival on at the T2F.

Renaissance Women Karachi Women Artists of the 70s

Sounds of Kolachi Live : USA Tour Preview 17.03.17

Be the first to check out the Sounds of Kolachi in Karachi, before they set off for their all-American tour in March/April 2017. They are gearing up for a month long showcase of live shows all across the country; introducing new music from Pakistan to American audiences and to the South Asian diaspora.

Come join us and get in the festive spirit of Spring by spending a day at VLC as we celebrate local talent, support young entrepreneurs and enjoy delicious home cooked food! With exciting and interactive storytelling sessions, fun art activities for the whole family to enjoy, an array of games, and of course in true VLC style, loads and loads of play, we promise that this would be an evening you and your family will love and remember.

All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the Iqra Sweet Home Orphanage.

Travellling Film South Asia 2017

Film Southasia (FSA) is a biennial festival that was set up in 1997 with the goal of popularising the documentary so that it entertains, informs and changes lives. After each FSA festival, about a dozen films are selected to travel across the Subcontinent and the world as the Travelling Film Southasia (TFSA) package. This mobile campaign to promote and popularise Southasian documentaries stops at more than 50 international venues, and this year, will be hosted by T2F.
