Karachi kicks back into action this week. Look out for the first ever exhibition by Lulusar Concept in Karachi. This brand aims to provide quality fashion and chic aesthetics at an affordable price. In terms of events you can choose from, for some solid entertainment there is Curly Haired Comedy by Akbar Choudhry, and T2F’s regular Friday Open Mic Jam Session. For families with kids, the Magnify-Science Exhibition 2017 and The Bird Show 2017, are expected to be grand learning forums for everyone. If your interested in some soulful learning and an intellectual spin, then there is the session on ’70 years of Music in Pakistan’ with Khalid Ahmed and Tina Sani or Free Art Classes at Pakistan Chowk.

Curly Haired Comedy
Curly Haired Comedy, is a stand up special hosted by Akbar Chaudry. Performing for the first time, Akbar will weave a nostalgic tale of growing up in Pakistan (specifically Karachi) during the 90s and examines many abusurdites through his lens of humour. Lend an ear to Akbar Chaudhry’s take on ding dong, desi dating, moong phalli mein dana nahin and everything in between! Also check out his web series, BilingualB!

The Dawood Foundation Magnifi-Science Exhibition 2017
The Dawood Foundation (TDF) is proud to launch the second TDF Magnifi-Science Exhibition; a three-day event in Karachi with different interactive exhibits, experiments and expositions. The Exhibition aims to encourage the quest for Science in everyone, especially students by creating learning space for people from all backgrounds, irrespective of age, gender or class. TDF Magnifi-Science is going to be based on 4 main themes: Basic Science, Science of Technology
Earth Science, Health Science

Free Art Classes at Pakistan Chowk
Pakistan Chowk is a landmark heritage site in District South, Karachi. After rehabilitation the chowk is now occupied by various arists who use the space over the weekends for their creative endeavors. From this week and onwards free Sunday art classes will be offered at the Pakistan Chowk, taught by senior artist Abdul Haye and the very talented Farrukh Nasim.

70 years of Music in Pakistan
Join in conversation with Khalid Ahmed and Tina Sani at T2F. Khalid Ahmed’s contribution to theatre and television drama has been immense. He is a stage and TV actor, also has a long experience of actor training and is presently the Head of Dramatic Studies at the National Academy of Performing Arts, Karachi (NAPA) where he teaches voice and acting. Khalid is Prose and Poetry Reader and has also made a film. Tina Sani is one of the leading singers in Pakistan. Apart from classical musical training, she also performs extensively online and in concerts. As a music enthusiast, she is consistently working on musical training in schools.

The Bird Show 2017
The Bird Show 2017 being organized by Pakistan Avicultural Foundation. Let us welcome the Winters by visualizing the colors of Nature as different mutations of Budgerigars, Finches & Sparrows, Cockatiels, Lovebirds, Pigeons & Doves, Ground birds & Waterfowls and Tamed/Talkative Parrots & Parakeets will be exhibited.

First Friday’s Open Mic
T2F’s First Fridays Open Mic is a platform for musicians, poets, and comedians to perform, improvise and experiment in an informal setting. Performers do not need to pre-register. Just show up with your voice, instruments, and props. Look for our host, Omar Farooq, who will put your name down on the list. Musicians get 10 minutes/2 songs and everyone else gets 10 minutes.
