A keen interest in the overlapping and merging of different clothing traditions and Albania boasted a regionally focused and diverse culture of apparel formed through the use of cloth from a loom. Yasmin Zaman’s collection amalgamates Albanian kilts and vests through the deep colours and rich fabrics of Pakistani formal wear. These qualities were inspired by the silhouettes: loose jackets and elaborate sleeves with a twist. Much of the clothing featured flat braid work, with emphasis on geometrical designs and gold accenting. Olive green and tones of red were dominant within Tirana’s colour palette. Yasmin Zaman collaborated with two young female designers on this collection; footwear from Soma Intl and jewellery from Haya Luftullah.
